The Web 2.0 changes the way web pages are used and makes social media possible.  I believe these are so important to use in the classroom because they can help students do group projects together and collaborate.  These different forms of social media can also be used to communicate and inform parents.  Overall, without Web 2.0 our world would not be the same at all.  Communication is so much easier because of this and many different sites use this.

I found a Web 2.0 scientific calculator.  This calculator site has a spot to ask questions and even a whole forum page.  You can get an account and communicate while using the calculator.  You can also pick out the shape of your calculator. Another cool feature is being able to save and share equations! http://web2.0calc.com/

I personally think that 3-D printers have the most potential in the field of education.  My class saw one used today and the whole concept amazed me.  I think that being able to instantly provide a visual and interactive aid top your students could help so much in teaching.  I would probably use it to teach math mostly, but honestly the possibilities are endless.  I think this technology would really engage students.
